Rock Climbing in Ogden

We went rock climbing and rappelling to prepare for a hike that we both wanted to do in Zion National Park. The hike was a slot canyon hike to a beautiful spot called "The Subway". Neither of us had been there, but we had heard stories of how challenging it was. We were told that we would have to rappel and swim quite a bit. We bought climbing gear and a really nice rope. Alex Casey(a good friend of Bryant) came to give us tips and belay us. We were determined to be prepared for the hike. It turned out that our preparations were a bit overkill, because the hike was not as tough as it was made out to be. In the long run it was a good opportunity to break in the gear we had bought.

Shooting in Bountiful

We went shooting in Bountiful with Brandon Prescott. Shawn Tanzie met us up there. We shot rifles and handguns. Liz learned to shoot a rifle without a scope and together we mutilated the target!

The trip that started it all...

In April, a group of mutual friends all planned a trip to Moab. Initially Liz and her friend Dani were planning a Colorado trip (which some of us would not have been able to go on). The plans were changed to do a group trip to Moab. We all went to Arches National Park and enjoyed some refreshing scenery, hiking, and laughs. It was a perfect way for us to break the ice with one another without the pressure of the first date. Isn't it funny how these things work out?

Our story <3

Neither of us imagined that the upcoming summer would take us in a direction that would change our lives forever. It began with some hanging out with a group of mutual friends and a trip to Arches that we would never forget. A little curiosity and a lot of time together our "spark"0f interest grew into a fire that turned into our summer of love. This blog is a photo and text journal of our adventures together. In this blog, we hope to post pictures and records of a common love we share for nature and the outdoors (along with other interests that we both have).
